Our production today
We are a family business founded in 1985 in the charming city of Viana do Castelo , in northern Portugal.
Our adventure began with the production of traditional rag rugs , using hand-operated wooden looms , where no electricity is involved, only muscle power.
We innovate in design and in the materials we use, while maintaining the tradition of hand-woven weaving.
Textiles are our passion and something that
It truly fascinates us, as does our family . The possibility of combining these two elements in a single life project makes us happy.
Our carpets are developed from waste materials from other industries .
It is a source of pride, and something that makes us smile every day, that we can transform materials that would otherwise be thrown away, thus contributing positively to the sustainability of our planet.
Vianatece is expanding.
Our creative spirit has never stopped, and from early on we began exploring ways to expand our familiar line of rugs.
We added the tablecloths, napkins, curtains, bath towels, sheets, bedspreads, pillows... and now, together, they fill a house, or several!
